Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience with GC-MS instruments (including QQQ).
  • Understanding of method development, optimisation and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting scientific information.

Overview

A world leader in analytical instrumentation is seeking an accomplished, commercially astute GC-MS Technical Specialist. Acting as a Technical Expert, no day will be the same as you’ll be travelling to labs, meeting new people and helping customers with a variety of analytical challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Aiding in the development of customer GC-MS methods
  • Demonstrating analytical methods/proof of concept
  • Providing technical support to the sales team
  • Providing customer training and post-sales support
  • Attending high profile industry conferences, presenting technological advancements and helping to build the company’s customer base with a focus on mass spectrometry instrumentation
Location and Travel

Based from home with travel approximately 50% of the working week around England to customer sites or the applications laboratory, with occasional overnight stays.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years’ experience with GC-MS instruments (including QQQ)
  • Understanding of method development, optimisation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting scientific information to an audience
