A leading aviation company is looking for a Technical Shopfloor Engineer to join their team in Broughton, Flintshire. This contract role runs until August 2026 and requires onsite presence. Responsibilities include supporting the production team, identifying technical issues, and contributing to operational excellence. A desirable HNC qualification and manufacturing engineering experience are required. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £36.00 plus a 20% shift uplift.

Overview

Our client has an opportunity for a Technical Shopfloor Engineer to join them on a contract basis until August 2026.

Role

Technical Shopfloor Engineer

Location

Broughton, Flintshire. Fully onsite.

Hours

Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon Monday to Friday. Mornings: 6:00am - 1:10pm. Afternoons: 1:30pm - 8:40pm.

Clearance

BPSS required to start

Hourly Rate

£36.00 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35. + 20% shift uplift

Responsibilities
  • Accompany the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT).
  • Support in identifying, analysing and solving technical issues not directly manageable by the Operators & First Line Manager (FLM).
  • Provide an end-to-end perspective at the shopfloor level within the production team / APT in Airbus.
  • Support continuous production enablement by efficiently utilising available resources & knowledge.
  • Contribute to the Operational Excellence targets within the area by improving operational processes.
  • Support in identifying Non-Conformance on the shopfloor.
Requirements
