Job summary

Finning is recruiting a Customer Service Controller – Technical in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on coordinating engineering work, prioritising customer requests, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining high service standards.

You will lead a small team of engineers, liaise with customers, and ensure accurate updates in the system. A background in plant/AG/HGV or REME-type mechanics, plus knowledge of gas and diesel engines, is essential.

Qualifications

• Foundational engineering understanding or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical or mechanical engineering role (C&G/NVQ apprenticeship).
• Experience in a similar role within a similar industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule engineering work to maximise productivity.
• Assess and prioritise customer requests, allocating appropriate resources.
• Monitor job progress, ensuring timely completion and accurate system updates.
• Open/close work orders and support billing accuracy.
• Lead, coach and support a team of engineers (4–8).
• Maintain strong customer communication and service standards.
