Job summary

Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking a Technical Service Controller to coordinate a team of engineers delivering efficient service and a strong customer experience. You will plan resources, manage work progress, and ensure timely completion to standard, acting as the technical link between engineers and the control team.

You will mentor engineers, monitor performance, and ensure service processes are followed. The role requires background in plant, agricultural, or HGV engineering, with knowledge of gas

Qualifications

• Must have background in plant, agricultural, or HGV engineering.
• Knowledge of gas and diesel engines and related products.
• Strong understanding of mobile and fixed equipment components and systems.
• Awareness of warranty and commissioning processes.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical issues and support non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule engineering work to maximise productivity.
• Assess and prioritise customer requests, allocating resources.
• Monitor job progress and update systems accurately.
• Open/close work orders and support billing accuracy.
• Lead, coach and support a team of engineers (4–8).
• Maintain strong customer communication and service standards.
