Job summary

Technical SEO Specialist

Independent Agency - Hybrid Working Model

The Job

• Deliver Technical SEO recommendations that follow best practices and are up to date with modern web technologies.
• Complete technical audits to identify issues that may be blocking search engines from crawling and indexing content, and provide clear and concise recommendations for resolving these issues.
• Understand how different technical factors impact SEO performance and how to prioritise tasks accordingly.
• Implement SEO recommendations to improve website performance.
• Be able to communicate effectively with developers, including understanding how to business case tasks and confidently discuss technical changes and their importance.
• Stay up to date with Technical SEO best practice and complex Technical SEO activities such as hreflang, JavaScript SEO, diagnosing page speed and core web vitals, log file analysis, site architecture, faceted navigation and managing indexing.
• Deliver Technical SEO recommendations in client meetings and communicate with clients and developers using task management tools.
• Using enterprise Technical SEO analysis tools to be able to complete analysis at scale.
• Training and mentoring junior SEO staff. This includes teaching them about the technical aspects of SEO and how to implement SEO recommendations.

You

• Proficient in using SEO tools, such as Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, Google Search Console, APIs (Application Programming Interface), Schema testing, and Chrome Inspector.
• Experienced in developing ways of working and processes.
• Excellent at problem-solving.
• Experienced in tracking Technical SEO performance and overall site health.
• Ability to set up custom dashboards and knowing the best tools for technical monitoring.
• Knowledgeable in technical optimisation and delivering results either agency side or in-house.
• Able to work at part of team with excellent oral & written communication skills.
• Experienced in delivering technical SEO actions, prioritising actions and business casing.
