Technical Sales Office Manager
Newark, Full time, Permanent

Our well-established Client based in Newark, Nottinghamshire is seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a sound background in Mechanical Engineering. You will be leading and developing a busy sales team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role

As Technical Sales Office Manager your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maximising the sales team to their potential to drive growth and hit sales targets
  • Creating sales plans
  • Implementing an effective lead generation process
  • Becoming preferred suppliers within new markets
  • Overseeing special order requirements, reviewing accuracy of figures and ensuring an effective sales process is in place (generation of leads, enquiries and quotations)
  • Preparing and submitting PQQ and tender documentation
  • Managing construction contracts
  • Producing regular reports on revenue and forecasting
  • Identifying emerging markets and market shift
  • Managing day-to-day staff matters including absences, performance, coaching and addressing internal issues
The Candidate

A successful Technical Sales Office Manager will possess the following:

  • Experience of leading sales teams, whilst driving strategic growth
  • An understanding of mechanical engineering (ideally with a mechanical engineering qualification)
  • Commercial awareness
  • Able to influence at a senior level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong communicator
  • Hands on approach with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • UK driver's licence (due to occasional site visits)
