Overview
As a Technical Principal you will be expected to advise own and drive Version 1s capabilities both internally and with our customers. This is a senior role that involves advisory services, strategic consultancy, project delivery and team management. On site you will perform an Architecture Principal role on our clients Solution Delivery engagements with a focus on Cloud technology (Azure & AWS) providing excellent advisory services customer engagement as well as hands on delivery management and project delivery in line with our clients needs and technology stack(s).

Candidates will have expert level understanding of end to end architecture analytics design and project delivery lifecycles with an emphasis of working in client facing environments and moving through the various governance forums within the Architecture landscape.

Qualifications
- Proven breadth of experience and accountability across various types of technology deliveries e.g. digital transformation, application modernisation, product development, AI solutions
- Proven experience across architecture, engineering, integration, AI and cloud (AWS & Azure) technologies designing and implementing modern platforms / technical solutions
- Deep understanding and experience of delivering high quality, reliable, scalable, secure and observable software solutions encompassing agile methodologies, proven design patterns, DevSecOps tooling, continuous delivery, test automation and monitoring
- Experienced in managing and leading large / complex technical workstreams within multi‑supplier engagements (e.g. solution engineering effort estimation, total cost of ownership)
- Able to establish excellence in technical delivery, identify and mitigate risks early on and recover challenged technical deliveries
- Able to communicate effectively and credibly with senior stakeholders to negotiate influence and shape positive technology outcomes
- Able to translate business requirements into technical solutions and the production of specifications including HLDs, LLDs, costings, configuration timeframes
- Commercial and business awareness to drive business growth across an account via pre‑sales activities such as preparing and delivering presentations, writing technical and commercial documents / responses and assisting in project forecasting, planning, estimation and delivery
- Able to prioritise your time across multiple engagements particularly when working to deadlines
- Demonstrated ability in managing, coaching and developing junior members of your team including customers and multi‑vendors within a cross‑team environment
- 10 Years industry experience across architecture, engineering, cloud technologies, AI and cloud infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of and professional certification in industry leading digital transformation technologies – Azure, AWS, Oracle cloud, AI, Databricks, Snowflake etc.
- Hands on experience of solution architecture design, rollout and technical leadership across enterprise‑grade solutions / projects leveraging waterfall and / or agile delivery methodologies
- Strong customer relationship and delivery management experience across large / complex technical workstreams; planning, delivery team leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management
- Understanding of the technical and business constraints in large‑scale digital and cloud projects, overcoming resistance to change
- Practical engineering background, ability to lead development teams, resolve technical issues and prioritise non‑functional requirements to ensure a successful technical delivery
- History of involvement in the tech community and an active observer of latest trends and technologies
