We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Facilities Manager to join our team and help ISS achieve its vision of becoming the world’s greatest service organisation.

This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service performance that empowers people and facilitates our customers’ purpose. You will play a key part in managing site maintenance activities, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with organisational policies and applicable laws.

Job Description

As a Technical Facilities Manager, you will oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of building services and controls systems. This includes managing technical teams and contractors, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to the highest standards.

You will also provide technical expertise, maintain risk registers, and support asset management processes to ensure quality and compliance across all operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage BMS building services and controls systems across designated buildings.
  • Lead and supervise the technical shift team and contractors to deliver PPMs and reactive works in line with SLAs and KPIs.
  • Produce technical reports and evaluate assets and systems on customer sites.
  • Review and monitor performance to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Participate in daily update meetings with the customer to provide operational support.
  • Support the Asset Manager by ensuring accurate documentation and uploads to the CAFM system.
  • Maintain a risk register for areas of responsibility and contribute to wider risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Take corrective action to resolve technical and operational issues promptly.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Significant experience in BMS building services and controls maintenance, including fault finding, installation, inspection, and reporting.
  • Vocational education in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent (HNC or City & Guilds Level 1, 2, and 3).
  • Professional memberships such as IET, CIBSE, or IEng are preferable.
  • Strong knowledge of Work Order Control procedures and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Minimum IOSH Managing Safety or NEBOSH certification.
  • Practical experience in Hard Services contract delivery and NEC 4 Contracts.
