Job summary

A prominent engineering company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Technical & Administration Manager to support the Service Centre and enhance customer operations. Technical & Administration Manager

LOCATION: Manchester

TERM: Permanent

SALARY: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent on experience

My client works within the Engineering sector, and they are looking to take on a Technical & Administration Manager, on a permanent basis.

Attributes
  • Any experience working with another Engineering company in a similar Technical / Admin role working with customers would be desirable
  • Ideally a qualification in an Engineering subject (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical etc.) or previous experience in an electronics repair environment
  • Good level of technical understanding
  • Someone with a flexible can-do attitude to get tasks completed
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient with using MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Have the flexibility to travel internationally if required
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Working in the office full-time
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Service Manager to ensure all runs as it should in the Service Centre
  • Using technical knowledge to assist customers in day to day operations
  • Handling customer enquiries
  • Producing quotations and looking to convert these to repair orders
  • Supporting engineering teams and issuing jobs as required
  • Arranging deliveries and collections
  • Placing orders and sourcing parts as needed
  • Maintaining employee holiday records too and assisting with basic HR tasks
