Job summary

Actian is seeking a highly technical Tech Lead to guide a small feature team of 3–4 engineers. You will write exceptional code, architect robust backend systems, and lead by example with a modern SaaS stack (Scala, Python, TypeScript).

You will leverage AI coding agents to multiply output without compromising quality. You will own the technical execution of your team, mentor engineers through pair programming and code reviews, and ensure multi-tenant cloud scalability is delivered to production.

Qualifications

• Deep backend engineering experience building and scaling cloud-native SaaS platforms.
• Strong, production-proven experience writing code in Scala, but Python or TypeScript are a big plus.
• Deep experience using AI coding agents in day-to-day work and reviewing AI-generated code for security or architectural flaws.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Coding & Execution: write high-quality backend code and tackle complex challenges.
• Technical Stack Mastery: guide backend data systems with Scala and Python, TypeScript for full-stack delivery.
