Actian is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to guide a small feature team. You will write high-quality backend code, shape architecture for multi-tenant SaaS, and drive delivery with a modern stack including Scala, Python, and TypeScript.

You’ll leverage AI coding agents to multiply team output without compromising quality, while mentoring 3–4 engineers and collaborating closely with Product Managers. You will own technical execution, ensure production health in the cloud, and champion

Qualifications

Deep backend engineering experience building and scaling cloud-native SaaS platforms.
Strong production-proven experience with Scala; Python or TypeScript is a plus.
Must-Have: deep experience using AI coding agents to boost development efficiency and code quality.

Responsibilities

Hands-on coding and execution, tackling complex backend challenges.
Guide the team using Scala and Python for robust data systems and TypeScript for full-stack delivery.
Promote AI coding agents to improve velocity while maintaining quality and security.
Own the technical execution and architectural decisions for multi-tenant SaaS delivery.
Mentor 3–4 engineers through pair programming and code reviews.
Collaborate with Product Managers to translate ideas into tangible tasks.
