Job summary

Actian is seeking a highly technical Tech Lead to guide a 3–4 person feature team. You will write robust backend code, architect scalable cloud-native systems, and mentor engineers by example.

Qualifications

Deep backend engineering experience building and scaling cloud-native SaaS platforms.
Production-proven experience in Scala; Python/TypeScript a plus.
Experience using AI coding agents to prompt, review, and improve code.

Responsibilities

Hands-on coding and execution on complex backend tasks.
Guide team technology direction with Scala, Python, and TS.
Leverage AI coding agents to accelerate delivery.
Align technical work with product goals.
Own end-to-end lifecycle of features for multi-tenant cloud.
Mentor engineers through pair programming and code reviews.
Remove blockers to hit team milestones.
