We are currently recruiting experienced Support Staff with a valid Team Teach qualification to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wood Green to work in their SEMH provision.

The Role

In this role you will work within a specialist area that the school have created to support pupils across the school who have SEMH and behavioural or emotional regulation difficulties.

Within the provision, pupils may become dysregulated, and you may be required to use Team Teach-approved physical intervention techniques when absolutely necessary to ensure safety. The school places strong emphasis on preventative strategies, clear communication, and restorative practice, ensuring all interventions are carried out with care, respect, and professionalism.

Your role will include
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with identified needs, helping them to access learning and develop social and emotional skills.
  • Using de-escalation strategies and Team Teach principles to manage challenging behaviour safely and effectively.
  • Supporting teaching staff in implementing personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
  • Promoting inclusion and helping pupils build positive relationships with their peers.
  • Contributing to a nurturing, consistent, and structured classroom environment.
