Job summary

Plumb Centre in Norwich is seeking a Team Supervisor to support the Branch Manager, supervise colleagues, and help run day-to-day operations while ensuring first-class service to trade customers.

This full-time role is office-based with phone and email servicing, product advice, and a focus on achieving targets, margins, and strong audits; standard hours 40 per week, with Saturday rota. Benefits include pension, extra leave, and health cover.

As a Team Supervisor based in our Norwich branch you'll be responsible for:

• Assisting the Branch Manager/ Branch Supervisor with the day to day running and operations within the branch and take charge when they are not available.
• Supervising and supporting colleagues, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals.
• Mainly office based, phones and emails servicing customers.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07:00AM - 17:00PM and Saturday on a rota basis 08:00AM - 12:00PM.

And here's what we'd like you to have:

• Health and safety requirements, particularly in first aid, manual handling, fire situations and appropriate mechanical handling. Also know about transport legislation.
• Confidently work with and interpret numerical and written information.
• Knowing about proactive and advanced sales techniques, merchandising, and ways to maximise margin.
• Knowing about the specific product lines stocked by the branch and Wolseley systems.
• Knowing about branch administration, audit trail, supply chain and policies. IT Systems: use Microsoft packages for creating documents and working with data.
