Job summary

Wolseley Group's Plumb Centre in Norwich is seeking a Team Supervisor to assist the Branch Manager with daily operations, supervise staff, handle phones and emails, and serve customers at the trade counter. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 07:00-17:00 with Saturday on rota 08:00-12:00.

Qualifications

• Health and safety requirements, particularly in first aid, manual handling, fire situations and appropriate mechanical handling.
• Confidently work with and interpret numerical and written information.
• Proactive and advanced sales techniques, merchandising, and ways to maximise margin.
• Knowledge about branch administration, audit trail, supply chain and policies.
• IT systems: use Microsoft packages for creating documents and working with data.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Branch Manager/ Branch Supervisor with day to day running and operations within the branch and taking charge when they are not available.
• Supervising and supporting colleagues, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals.
• Mainly office based, phones and emails servicing customers.
• Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
