Job summary

Ole & Steen in London is seeking staff to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced bakery environment. You will greet guests warmly, share menu knowledge, and assist with orders and payments.

You’ll help maintain cleanliness, stock, and safety standards while preparing and assembling food as needed. Ideal candidates have excellent communication, can multitask under pressure, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and make them feel at home.
• Share knowledge of the menu to help guests choose.
• Enter orders correctly on the till and process payments accurately.
• Balance cash andmoney securely at end of shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of your section and work areas.
• Keep kitchen and stores clean and compliant with Food Safety standards.
• Prepare and assemble food as required.

We have been Denmark’s favourite bakery for over 20 years, serving delicious breads, pastries and cakes made by hand, single estate coffee, great breakfasts, premium salads, Danish open-faced sandwiches and freshly made baguettes. We opened our flagship Bakery in Piccadilly Circus in Christmas 2016 to huge acclaim and fantastic reviews, now we continue our expansion in London.

Responsibilities:

• Make all our guests feel welcome and treat them as if they are entering your own home with a warm greeting and farewell.

• Share your passion for food & drinks by sharing your menu knowledge with our guests and helping them to make great choices

• Ensure all orders are entered correctly on the till.

• Take payment from guests promptly, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and the correct money is exchanged

• Ensure all monies are securely handled and accurately balanced at end of shift

• Be accountable for stock, wastage and make the manager aware of any stock shortage when re-ordering may berequired

• Ensure your section and working areas are kept clean, tidy,set and stocked up at all times

• Check and clean all public areas and ensure a constant supply of soap, toilettissueand paper towelsat all times

• Follow the cleaning schedule and ensure all daily duties are completed efficiently and to brand standards

• Report any faulty equipment or machinery to the Manager

• Make sure your appearance, uniform,timekeepingand behaviour always meet our standards

• Ensure kitchen and stores arekept clean and tidy at all timesfollowing all Ole & Steen Food Safety and Health & Safety standards

• Prepare and assemble food asrequired
