Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Team Manager to lead and support a skilled team focusing on safeguarding and child protection. This role involves implementing the Family Help Model and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote effective interventions. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of child protection processes. This is a full-time position in Ilford, offering approximately £35.13 per hour, with a contract duration of 5+ months.

Team Manager

Location: Station Road, Ilford, IG6 1NB

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 5+ months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £35.13 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a skilled team to deliver effective interventions.
  • Promote the service within the council and with stakeholders.
  • Implement the Family Help Model for comprehensive support.
  • Monitor risks and trends to protect young people.
  • Oversee complex case management, including Child Protection and Court work.
  • Collaborate with agencies like police, education, and health services.
  • Promote the TEDDS approach: Trust, Engage, Deter, Divert, and achieve success.
Person Specifications
Must Have
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in safeguarding.
  • Understanding of Child Protection processes and exploitation risks.
  • Ability to solve problems and improve interventions.
  • Relationship‑building skills for multi‑agency collaboration.
  • Advocacy for young people to ensure timely support.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in implementing new strategies and driving change.
  • Familiarity with the Family Help Model and contextual safeguarding frameworks.
