About The Role

Team Facilitator for Lauren’s team

39 hours per week - Hybrid role combining practice leadership, team management, and direct support

£28,961 per annum + additional on call payment (pay award pending)

This role is to support Lauren and her team in her Morningside flat. Lauren is recovering from a challenging period in her life and is looking to get back to her favourite activities including going for long walks, dancing and visiting museums, and trips to cafes for lunch or coffee!

To assist Lauren to achieve her goals we have created a unique role for a dedicated person to develop and enhance Lauren's support. To really get to know Lauren you will split your time between providing direct support and carrying out the management responsibilities for the team. This will include practice leadership, auditing and implementing new strategies.

Lauren needs an active staff team that won't shy from a good brisk walk, that can be upbeat and able cook. Lauren needs staff who understand the importance of structure, routine, and communication aids to help her navigate her day. Lauren needs someone who can help her feel secure if situations become stressful whilst helping her promote her independence and expand her horizons.

About You

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience working with adults and children with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and physical support needs.
  • Experience in using person centred planning techniques in addition to delivering and leading excellent support practices.
  • Strong facilitation skills to encourage staff teams to take ownership and responsibility for the quality of support they deliver.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with the people we support, staff teams, families and external care professionals.
  • Creating and delivering robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments whilst managing individual budgets.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working under pressure.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.
