A local primary school in England is seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support teachers and work with pupils to enhance learning outcomes. This role provides hands-on classroom experience, extensive training, and the opportunity to pursue further qualifications in education. Ideal candidates should be reliable, professional, and enjoy working with children. Full support and safeguarding training will be provided.
Join Warren Road Primary School as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. Support teachers, work with pupils individually and in groups, and help improve learning outcomes. Gain hands‑on classroom experience, full training, and safeguarding support while starting a rewarding career in education.
Training will be delivered by a specialist apprenticeship training provider experienced in Early Years and Teaching. The course follows a blended learning approach, combining on‑the‑job practical experience with online learning and regular tutor visits. Apprentices will have scheduled off‑the‑job training sessions, typically one day per week, to complete coursework and portfolio tasks. Progress reviews take place every 6–8 weeks to ensure development and support throughout the programme. Higher‑Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) roles, Special Educational Needs (SEN) support positions and Early Years Practitioner or Nursery roles are available.
Further study, such as Level 4/5 qualifications or teacher training, is encouraged. Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
