About the Role

As part of our continued growth, Bankside School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will support pupils with Autism and additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing, structured environment. This is a role where every day brings purpose and impact. You will build meaningful relationships, assist with personalised learning, and contribute to a school culture where every child feels valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.

What You'll Do
  • Support teachers to deliver engaging, high‑quality learning.
  • Work with students 1:1 or in small groups to help them access the curriculum.
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help prepare resources, organise the classroom and support daily routines.
  • Assist with documents such as IEPs, risk assessments and behaviour plans.
  • Safeguard pupils and meet their physical and emotional needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the care team for a consistent, nurturing approach.
  • Work collaboratively with staff across the school to support each student’s progress.
Key Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
