Overview

• Teaching Assistant (supporting children with specific learning needs)
• Contract: Fixed term one year contract with the potential to become permanent
• Grade: NJC Scale 4 (spinal point 7-10)
• Hours: Full time (32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, term time only)
• Annual salary: £23,480 - £24,510 - Outer London
• Start date: February 2026 or sooner

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must have:

• Successful, recent experience working with children
• Experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• A high level of proficiency in literacy and mathematics
• A calm, supportive and caring manner

This role will require you to work closely with the class teachers, SENCo and parents to deliver individualised support to children with learning difficulties within a mainstream class setting.
