Qualifications

  • Experience in primary education settings with children aged 4-11.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in literacy and numeracy.
  • Assist in classroom management and pupil engagement.
  • Support pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) where required.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times.

Skills

Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You will provide classroom support, deliver small group interventions, and assist individual pupils — including those with additional learning needs.

You will play a key role in helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
