No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required - just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.

The Role:

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 within the classroom.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and daily routines.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has experience working with children or young people (schools, nurseries, sports coaching, youth work, childcare, camps or similar).
  • Is enthusiastic, patient and approachable.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is eager to develop a career within education.
  • Can adapt to the needs of different learners.
  • Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Is willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (or already holds one on the Update Service).
Desirable Experience:

  • Mentoring or tutoring
  • Psychology or Education graduates
