Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support children across primary schools in Sheffield and surrounding areas. Opportunities are available across all year groups from EYFS through to Year 6, with flexible supply roles.

Role involves supporting learning, working with individuals and small groups, and helping create a safe, engaging classroom environment. A DBS check and competitive PAYE pay are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
• A positive, patient and caring approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Work with individuals and small intervention groups.
• Assist pupils with a range of learning abilities, including those with SEND.
• Help create an engaging, safe and positive classroom environment.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and social development.
• Support teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities.

Pay: £92.63-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026 (Immediate starts also available)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
