An opportunity has arisen for a qualified, knowledgeable and skilled teacher with a proven track record of academic success and achievement to teach A level Geography (Edexcel) at Pendleton Sixth Form College on a fixed term basis (maternity cover). There is potential for the role to include delivery of the EPQ (Edexcel), depending upon the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
The ability to teach students of mixed abilities is essential. We are seeking someone with excellent subject knowledge who can combine academic rigour with engaging delivery that ensures student progress. The post is suitable for experienced teachers or ECTs. The successful candidate must be committed to providing pastoral support for all our students. We are seeking an inspirational and outstanding practitioner who promotes the highest levels of achievement for all students studying A level Geography.
The Humanities Department comprises Criminology, Sport, French, Spanish, Law, Geography, History, Politics and Classical Civilisation. It is the largest area in the college, with approximately 950 students taking one or more of the aforementioned subjects. The departmental ethos is to go the extra mile to help improve the life chances of young people aged 16-18 in Salford.
