We are seeking a creative and motivated Teacher of Design & Technology (Graphics and Materials) to join a dynamic and well‑resourced department at a secondary school in Northampton
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about practical learning, creativity, and inspiring students to design, make, and evaluate high‑quality outcomes.
Teach Design & Technology with a focus on Graphics and Materials at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and theory‑based lessons
Support students through the full design process: research, design, manufacture, and evaluation
Maintain a safe, well‑organised workshop environment
Contribute to the continued development of the DT curriculum
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
Strong subject knowledge in Graphics, Resistant Materials, or related DT specialisms
Ability to inspire creativity and independent thinking
Confident classroom and workshop management skills
ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply
