Job summary

United Welsh is seeking a Recruitment and Onboarding Officer to coordinate recruitment from vacancy approval to probation completion, and to deliver a positive onboarding experience for new starters.

You will work closely with hiring managers to prepare adverts, assess methods, and manage offers, contracts and pre-employment checks, ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant. You will lead inductions and monitor probation progress.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes end-to-end.
• Knowledge of right-to-work requirements and recruitment compliance.
• Ability to manage high-volume coordination with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment from vacancy approval to appointment and onboarding through probation.
• Assist managers with job descriptions, adverts, assessments, and vacancy advertising.
• Support candidates and new starters by phone, email, and in person before joining.
• Manage offers, contracts, and pre-employment checks including right to work.
• Plan onboarding with managers and ensure a clear induction plan for new starters.
• Deliver team inductions and coordinate the organisation-wide induction programme.
• Track probation milestones and ensure records are up to date and confidential.
• Keep HRIS/ATS records accurate and provide first-line troubleshooting.
• Maintain recruitment flows, guidance, and templates; report delays.
• Use insights to improve processes and reduce duplication in onboarding.
