Job summary

Hoop Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a People Officer for a Wales-based organisation. You’ll provide frontline HR support across the full employee lifecycle and help the People team deliver a high-quality service.

Based in Cardiff/Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen with hybrid working (2 days in the office, 37 hours per week), you’ll handle recruitment and onboarding, maintain employee records, support policies and governance, and contribute to equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy HR/People environment
• Experience providing first-line HR/People support
• Solid understanding of HR processes and employment law
• Experience maintaining HR systems and confidential data
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and use initiative
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, first-line HR support across the employee lifecycle
• Support recruitment and onboarding activity
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
• Coordinate learning and development activities
• Provide support across employee relations matters
• Assist with HR policies, processes and governance
• Support equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives
• Contribute to People projects and cross-organisational initiatives
• Build strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation
