Overview

Reaseheath College is a forward thinking and dynamic College providing an educational experience to over 4,500 students a year. The College has invested in the Engineering facility, including the £7 million Advanced Engineering and Agri-Tech Centre with state of the art facilities for teaching purposes. As the UK's leading academy for agricultural engineering, we deliver training in the advanced technology needed to maintain tractors and agricultural machinery used in precision farming.

Our Agricultural Engineering team supports the development of students' technical knowledge and practical skills in maintaining agricultural machinery.

About the role

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with strong industry and technical knowledge to join our Agricultural Engineering department. Due to continuous growth and investment, we now have vacancies for a Lecturer / Course Manager in Agricultural Engineering, with the prospect of recruiting multiple candidates to support the ongoing expansion of the department.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and deliver Land-based Engineering curriculum content, aligned with college procedures to meet learner and customer needs.
  • Lead and guide students in practical, theoretical and assessment activities to enhance learning and meet industry expectations.
  • Collaborate across the Engineering department to utilise transferable skills and knowledge.
  • Build relationships with industry and stakeholders to enhance the College's reputation and maximise income streams.
  • Assist the management team in acquiring resources to support delivery of all programmes.
The successful candidate will
  • Have relevant experience in the vocational area focusing on agricultural engineering, engines, welding and fabrication, and machinery technology.
  • Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification within the vocational area.
  • Have a Level 5 or 6 qualification in Engineering.
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Hold an assessor award qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Hold a relevant Internal Verifier's qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
