Are you ready to lead and inspire within a dynamic healthcare environment? NHS Frimley Health Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive and skilled Systems Administrator (IMS)to join our team at Frimley Park Hospital.

About the Role:As Systems Administrator (IMS), you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our Inventory Management System across our key sites. This supporting position demands a blend of strong organisational ability, excellent communication, motivational skills, and proficiency with IT systems. You will support and collaborate closely with Assistant Supply Chain Managers across our three main locations, driving continuous improvement in line with NHS priorities.

Main duties of the job
  • Support the GS1 standards within the Trust, ensuring best practice in procurement and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain robust relationships across a wide network including Executive and Non-Executive Directors, Audit Committee members, Chiefs of Services, Associate Directors, budget holders, and wider Trust staff.
  • Collaborate with external partners such as the Department of Health, NHS Improvement, NHS Supply Chain, Crown Commercial Services, NHS Commercial Solutions, and other procurement hubs.
  • Support with supplier relationships at multiple levels, from National Sales Managers to local representatives, ensuring value and compliance in procurement activities.
  • Drive integration and development of our inventory systems, promoting efficiency and adaptability in a fast-evolving healthcare sector.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Holder of Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or similar appropriate professional institute to degree level or relevant qualification (such as Inventory management or Supply Chain qualifications)
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)
Experience
  • Experience (min 1 years) at a systems or information and data analysis role.
  • Demonstrable experience of: - Advanced Statistical and data analysis skills - Risk assessment / analysis
  • Experience in an Inventory Management System or stock management systems role or equivalent
  • Experience of applying principles of change management
Skills & Knowledge
  • In depth understanding of the principles of stock management including: -knowledge of calculating optimum reorder levels -understanding of the complexities of stock flow including lead times
  • Ability to communicate effectively at senior level
  • Demonstrable advanced IT skills including specialist software for stock control systems, mathematical, logical formulas and to generate accurate charts/graphs.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems (especially Omnicell SupplyX)
