Job summary

Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) is seeking an experienced investment professional to help keep the Fund at the forefront of responsible investment and oversee its pooling partner LPPI. The role involves strategic input on investment direction, monitoring all investments, and communicating with the Pensions Committee and external partners.

The team sits within the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance Directorate; travel to Bristol, London and overseas is expected; flexible working is

Qualifications

Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
A strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
A strong understanding of climate science and natural capital, and its relevance for investing.
Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.

Responsibilities

Provide input to the strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with LPPI.
Monitor and oversee investments in public and private markets.
Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
Provide assurance on the work of LPPI through partnership working.
Report progress to the Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
Respond to enquiries on our investment approach and represent the Fund publicly.
