Job summary

Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) is seeking an experienced investment professional to oversee the Fund’s investment strategy in collaboration with pooling partner LPPI. You will ensure responsible investment and climate considerations shape both public and private market portfolios.

The role involves governance, stakeholder engagement, and regular reporting to committees. Flexible working patterns apply, with travel to Bristol, London and potentially overseas expected.

Qualifications

• Experience across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Strong understanding of climate science and natural capital in investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
• Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitor and oversee investments in public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on LPPI through partnership working.
• Report progress to Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Respond to enquiries from members, media and public about our approach to investment.
• Network across the finance community and represent the EAPF in meetings and at events.
