Job summary

The Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) is seeking an experienced Investment professional to help keep the Fund at the forefront of responsible investment and deliver our sustainability-led Investment Strategy.

You will oversee the pooling partner LPPI, report to the Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee, and engage with members, public audiences and external partners. The role requires travel to Bristol, London and potentially overseas, with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Knowledge of climate science and natural capital in relation to investing.
• Knowledge of LGPS and pooling processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of LPPI and ensure alignment with Investment Strategy.
• Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with LPPI pool.
• Monitor investments in public and private markets and report on progress.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on LPPI through partnerships and governance.
• Report progress to Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Engage with members, media and public on investment approach.
• Represent the Fund in meetings and public speaking commitments.
