Job summary

The Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) is seeking a skilled investment professional to help keep the Fund at the forefront of responsible investment and to deliver our sustainability-led Investment Strategy. The role sits within the Environment Agency and oversees pooling partner LPPI.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
• A strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• A strong understanding of climate science and natural capital, and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.
• Excellent communication skills are vital when engaging with a diverse range of people.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to the strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
• Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with our pool LPPI.
• Monitor and oversee investments in public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on LPPI performance through bilateral and joint partnership working.
• Report progress to the Fund’s Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Respond to member, media and public enquiries on our approach to investment.
• Network across the finance community and represent the EAPF in relevant meetings.
