Job summary

Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) is seeking an investment professional to help keep the Fund at the forefront of responsible investment and to support the LPPI pooling partnership as part of the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance Directorate. The role will contribute to a sustainability-led Investment Strategy while supporting a flexible working model.

The team is Bristol-based with options to work from other locations, and travel to Bristol, London and potentially overseas is

Qualifications

Experience with investing across asset classes.
Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
Strong understanding of climate science and natural capital in investing.
Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.
Excellent communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Provide input to the strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with our pool LPPI.
Monitor and oversight of investments in public and private markets.
Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
Provide assurance on the work of LPPI through bilateral and joint partnership working.
Report progress to the EAPF’s Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
Respond to member, media and public enquiries on our approach to investment.
Network across the finance community and represent the EAPF in meetings and public speaking commitments.
