A government environmental agency in Wales seeks a Graduate Placement in Land Management for individuals completing their qualifications or recently graduated. This is a placement role for individuals who are sitting their university/college final exams in spring/summer 2026 or have recently (within the last 18 months) gained a post graduate qualification in an RICS accredited qualification in rural estate management or a similar discipline.
The role will provide support to NRW across Land Management, Forest Operations and wider operational teams. The purpose of the graduate trainee programme is to develop the practical experience, knowledge and skills to establish your career in the land management sector.
You will work closely with and be mentored by the Senior Specialist Surveyor, Land Management Team Leader and their Specialist Advisors.
As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to an NRW office within the place base / location above and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face to face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

Successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) check. Appointments are normally made within 4 to 8 weeks of the closing date.
This is an opportunity to join NRW's Land Management team for Mid-South working primarily from Llandovery. The team area extends from Cardigan up to Aberystwyth in the west and over to Hay on Wye in the east. The area covers most of Ceredigion and South Powys, including Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
The NRW estate in Mid-South ranges from up to 30,000Ha of productive forest blocks to National Nature Reserves covering in excess of 3,000Ha to numerous flood risk management assets, plus other various rural assets.
