Survey Engineer

Location: Tamworth
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00
Contract: Full Time, 40 hours per week

We’re currently looking for a Survey Engineer to join our friendly and experienced team in Tamworth. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical or engineering background who enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for customers.

About the Role

Working closely with the Depot Manager and your colleagues, you’ll play a key part in keeping our survey equipment fleet in excellent condition. Your work will help prevent breakdowns at customer sites and ensure equipment is always prepared to the highest standards before it goes back out on hire.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Inspecting, testing, and maintaining survey, safety, and communications equipment.

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on returned equipment.

  • Completing thorough safety checks so equipment is fully compliant and ready for rehire.

  • Accurately completing service records and inspection documentation.

  • Working as part of a supportive depot team to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well‑organised working environment.

  • Supporting Speedy’s ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver, helping us work safely and responsibly.
