Looking for someone to watch horror movies with? Look no further! Join our team to support this individual to live more independently. Support Worker - Waking Nights. Pay rate: £13.50 per hour. Shift Pattern: 0800-2000/2000-0800.

We have an individual who is a horror movie fan, thrill‑seeking rollercoaster rider, loves to shop, bake and sing. No one day is the same, and they’re looking for someone with similar interests to support them in their own home. This person has autism, mental health challenges and challenging behaviour, but this does not define them.

To make the most of trips out and about, we need people who are local to Totton and know the area, and can drive a car, holding a full UK Driving Licence.

You will need to bring previous experience with you in the following:

  • Autism
  • Mental health
  • Behaviours that can be perceived as challenging
Responsibilities

In this role, you will be providing high‑quality care on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs.

  • Engage with them in meaningful activities and take them out in the community to promote social interaction and well‑being.
  • Support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence.
  • Communicate in their preferred manner to build a strong and trusting relationship.
