Position: Support Worker – Maternity Cover for up to 12 months
Location: Leicester, LE19
Hours: 37.5 contracted hours per week (Mon‑Sun, including weekends, days, evenings and holidays)
Salary: £24,030.02 per annum (£12.29 p/h)

Advance is looking for Support Workers in Leicester to support customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or mental health conditions to live the lives they choose. Driving is not essential for this job; if you are a driver you must have a full UK/International driving licence and access to a vehicle. Mileage will be paid for at £0.45 per mile.

Day to Day Activities
  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
  • Medication administration (if required)
  • Support with preparing and cooking meals
  • Support with attending medical appointments
  • Support with social activities
  • Support with independent skills
  • Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
  • Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
  • Keeping up to date with your training
About the Candidate

You don’t need prior experience in care or support to succeed in this role. What matters are your values, passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of people with autism or learning disabilities. You should be:

  • Good at working independently and within a team
  • Excellent at communicating with people
  • Able to complete quality support records
  • Able to work every other weekend
  • Able to travel throughout the city
  • Able to work between 7am and 10:30pm
  • Capable of following a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintaining customer records
  • Literacy and numeracy in English
  • Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate
