A disability support service in Wimborne Minster is looking for a compassionate support worker to assist a young man with Down Syndrome and Autism for 4-6 hours weekly at home and in the community. This role focuses on providing a solid routine, personal care, and encouraging independence while engaging in activities like shopping and basketball. A reliable, car-owning individual with good communication skills is essential for this role.
The Role: To support a young man who has Down Syndrome, Autism, and partial hearing loss. He is a happy character and is looking to employ a support worker to support him 4 - 6 hours per week at his family home and out in the community. He needs a solid routine, and this will be a very important part of your role. Main Duties
We support people with a disability or long-term health condition to live independently and retain control of their lives within the community. We are not the person that you will work for. You will work for the individual or family that we are supporting.
