The Role: To support a young man who has Down Syndrome, Autism, and partial hearing loss. He is a happy character and is looking to employ a support worker to support him 4 - 6 hours per week at his family home and out in the community. He needs a solid routine, and this will be a very important part of your role. Main Duties

Responsibilities
  • To provide a solid routine.
  • To support with making healthy snacks and choices.
  • To provide personal care support - toileting care.
  • To support with putting shoes on/off.
  • To promote independence.
  • To support preparing dinner and exploring life skills.
  • To play basketball, attend the park, and to go shopping.
  • To take part in his choice of activity at home
  • To support in making good TV and music choices
  • To support to understand real and make believe
  • To support with managing own awareness, Please note, Compass Disability Services (Compass Independent Living Team) is a support, advisory and payroll service.
