A healthcare provider in St. Austell is seeking a Support Worker to assist an individual with autism and mental health challenges. This role involves providing compassionate care, engaging in meaningful activities, and maintaining a supportive living environment. Ideal candidates should have relevant experience and a valid UK driving license. The position offers competitive pay rates and various employee benefits.
Pay rate: Monday to Friday Day - £14.18 p/h & Nights - £15.23 p/h, Saturday & Sunday Day - £15.23 p/h & Nights - £16.28 p/h
Shift Pattern: 0800-2000/2000-0800 - 3 x 12 hour day shifts, some nights may occasionally be available
We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their own home in St Austell. Supporting a lady who takes a great interest in animals, fashion, childrens magazines and all things pink & girlie. This person has autism, anorexia and mental health struggles. There is a history of challenges and risks associated with these conditions. To make the most of trips out and about, we need people who are local to St Austell and know the area, and can drive a car, holding a full UK Driving Licence.

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a {2:1} basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being. Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.
