Job summary

Avenues Group in Chobham, Surrey is recruiting a Support Worker to provide tailored support to people with learning disabilities, brain injuries and autism. Some individuals may be non-verbal and there can be challenging behaviours; flexibility to cover day and night shifts is requested.

Typical shifts include early, afternoon, late, and sleep-in hours, with a focus on promoting independence, community involvement, and personal care. Full training is provided to support career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care is not essential; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support people to engage in day-to-day living activities and use their community.
• Support social activities and connect with family and friends.
• Assist with managing finances for the people we support.
• Keep homes clean and help with shopping.
• Provide and encourage personal care.
• Flexible shifts including days and nights as required by the rota.

Support Worker

Chobham, Surrey

£25,845 per annum (pro rata)

Full time hours available (39 hours per week)

We are currently recruiting for a support worker to join our team in out Chobham service, providing tailored support to people with learning disabilities, brain injuries and autism, some of the people we support are non-verbal and there is also potential challenging behaviours. This role does require flexibility with the ability to work days and nights depending on the needs of the rota.

Typical shift patterns: 7/8am-2pm, 2pm-9pm, 8:45pm-7:15am and Sleep INS 9pm-6:30am
