Job summary

The Avenues Trust Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Saffron Walden to join our caring team. You will help adults with learning disabilities live independently by supporting daily activities, accessing the community, and managing basic tasks with respect and empathy.

No prior social care experience is required as full accredited training is provided; the role offers full-time hours (39 per week) at £25,845 per annum pro rata, with flexible shifts and an opportunity to grow within a

  • Full time 39 hours per week only
  • Shift patterns: 7am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, day shifts, sleep ins
  • Driver with Full UK Licence essential and willing to drive manual mobility car

We are looking for Support Workers to work with us supporting adults with learning disabilities. The teams are small teams and the individuals have all lived together for years.

The Recruitment Team will discuss with you the different services we have available during a telephone interview.

No two days are the same but your day might look like this!

  • Supporting our people to be engaged in all day to day living activities, including making full use of their community and beyond.
  • Supporting our people with social activities, and connecting with family and friends.
  • Supporting the management of our people’s finances.
  • Keeping our people’s home clean and fresh, and going shopping.
  • Providing, and encouraging, personal care.
  • And enjoying what you do!

Experience in social care is not essential, we provide a full range of accredited and award winning training programmes at no cost to yourself, including the Health and Social Care Diploma that will really support your career progression.
