Qualifications

  • Facilitate household tasks for service users, including cleaning and meal prep.
  • Advocate on behalf of service users when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out duties as required under the direction of the Manager/Shift Leader.
  • To be involved in meeting each service user's individual needs on a daily basis. This is to include transporting service users to appointments and other engagements as required by driving the Company vehicles if the worker has a driving licence.
  • To support service user's individual priority needs, completing daily timetables as directed.
  • To facilitate the involvement of service user's in daily household tasks, i.e. cleaning, personal laundry, shopping and preparing meals, etc.
  • Assist in providing basic care where people have a physical illness.
  • You will be expected to carry out personal care as part of the role depending on the client needs.
  • To report any client general issues/concerns to the Manager.
  • To participate in any service user's leisure pursuits at home and within the community.
  • To act as Key-Worker (where appropriate) for identified service user(s) as designated by the Manager.
  • To advocate on behalf of service users where appropriate.
  • To work flexible hours, to meet individual needs.
  • Participate in the support planning process as directed.
  • To undertake any other additional duties as reasonably required by the Company.
General Responsibilities
  • To work in accordance with the Organisational and local Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in maintaining the internal/external upkeep of the house.
  • Communicate relevant information clearly via appropriate channels.
  • Report any potential hazards/risks to the Manager in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Undertake staff training as appropriate.
  • To undertake training in the Safe handling of Medication and participate in the administration of medication for service users.
  • Participate in Staff Appraisal Scheme.
  • Maintain all aspects of confidentiality with the home at all times.

  • Shift times vary with great flexibility - times between 0800-2100 for day shifts & Night shift work 2100-0800.
