Overview

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Aberystwyth. This role requires you to be a driver, and hold a full UK driving licence. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, working with a diverse group of people each with their own unique abilities and needs. All our services are 24hr care and rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities for individuals with learning disabilities.
• Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships.
• Support people to participate in everyday activities and maintain their independence.
• Contribute to a positive and empathetic environment for those you support.

What we’re looking for / Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
• A full UK driving licence and ability to drive to support duties.

Contract options & Shift Times

• Full-time: 37.5 hrs
• Part-time: contract sizes available from 16 to 34 hours

Shift times: Days: Between 07:00-22:00

There is a non-contractual sleep-in available with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
