A leading civil engineering company is looking for a Sub Agent to lead a tunnelling project in Snowdonia, Wales. The role requires managing the construction team, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards. Candidates must hold a valid CSCS Management card, thrive in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate a strong understanding of project management. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits including a company vehicle and accommodation allowance if necessary.
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus company car/car allowance
Full Time (45 hours per week)
My client is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.

We are looking to expand our team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver a tunnelling project in the beautiful region of Snowdonia, North Wales. Our work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying a network of overhead cables and removing a number of pylons to restore and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape.
The project is now recruiting a Sub Agent to lead the construction team within area of responsibility and be responsible for all aspects of the works, including compliance with legal, company and project requirements. Within the role, you will be accountable for achieving project commercial and programme requirements.
The role will require you to manage all subcontractors within area of responsibility and chair and produce minutes for weekly meetings with each subcontractor. You will also be required to maintain compliance with all legal, company and project health, safety and environmental requirements.
You must ensure that all required temporary works documents, including briefs, designs and method statements/risk assessments, are produced and approved in accordance with the programme and prior to works commencing. Following on from this, you will then ensure that temporary works are undertaken as per the approved documents and that all necessary checks, inspections and approvals continue during the works and dismantling.
It is essential that you hold a valid CSCS Management card for this position.
You will have a good understanding of the Contractor under CDM Regulations and work inline with contract and company procedures.
