Job summary

Homes for Students is seeking a Residence Services Assistant for Straits Meadow in Edinburgh. You will deliver a warm welcome, front desk support, and help desk assistance to students and visitors, ensuring a positive arrival experience.

You will also provide admin support to the operations team and General Manager, assist with open days, intake, and departures, and handle inquiries via email, website, phone, and in person with professionalism and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills, always displaying a helpful and patient attitude
• Experience using Microsoft Office software
• Quick and efficient learning ability
• Proficient in presenting information accurately, professionally, and appropriately
• Experience prioritising workload to meet competing deadlines without close supervision
• Team player with a flexible approach
• Previous customer service experience is desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide warm meet and greet, reception support and help desk assistance.
• Deliver administrative support to operations team and General Manager.
• Assist with open days, intake days and departures; assist students and visitors.
• Handle inquiries via email, website, phone and in person; provide accurate information.
• Operate a professional helpline and respond promptly to student queries.
• Stay organized in a busy, diverse environment; address and resolve complaints.
