Job description
Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Furness Community Mental Health Team.

The successful candidates will work with service users who have a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) who are currently on CMHT caseloads. You will deliver Structured Clinical Management (SCM) to a caseload of service users within the community setting. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available upon discussion with the team.

SCM is recognised as the gold standard of care for people with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). It is evidence based and in line with NICE guidelines. SCM has been selected by the trust as the approach to implement within the personality disorder pathway. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop specific skills in line with evidence-based treatment and be involved in providing support for service users to recover, develop autonomy and no longer require secondary mental health services.

Job Responsibilities

As well as direct face-to-face contact with the service user, and group work, it is expected that the post holder will be able to engage with the wider community system (A&E, police, inpatient and community settings) and support them to deliver evidence-based practice.

Supervision is an integral part of this job; you will be supported with regular access to supervision on a consistent basis. Clinical supervision will be provided by the Specialist Practitioners.

It is desirable to have some knowledge of SCM and an interest in working with people with personality disorder.
