Structural Engineer - Graduate, Junior, Intermediate or Senior
Our client is an ambitious and dynamic structural engineering consultancy, operating across Devon and Cornwall. Key Responsibilities (Dependent on Level):
- Undertake structural analysis and design using concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
- Collaborate with architects, clients, and contractors from concept through delivery
- Prepare calculations, technical drawings, and design reports
- Conduct site inspections and monitor design compliance during construction
- Support project coordination to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
- Lead structural design and oversee technical delivery across multiple projects
- Guide and mentor junior team members, promoting development and CPD
- Act as the principal point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, proposals, and invoicing
- Support business development alongside the leadership team
- Contribute to internal processes, marketing, and recruitment as the business grows
Candidate Requirements
- MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 2 years of UK structural design experience (4+ years for senior roles)
- Chartered or working towards chartership with IStructE or ICE (senior applicants ideally chartered)
- Strong technical understanding of UK design standards and building materials
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Confident managing technical teams and reviewing detailed design work (for senior roles)
