Overview

Structural Engineer

We’re working with a well-regarded engineering consultancy that’s looking to welcome a Structural Engineer to its Edinburgh team. With offices across the UK and a reputation built on treating staff well and delivering award-winning work, this is a great opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate will have a few years' experience working in a UK-based consultancy and will be confident designing a range of structures—from small residential builds to large commercial developments. If you have a genuine interest in conservation and heritage projects, you’ll find plenty to get excited about here.

You'll be based in a modern, open-plan office just a short walk from the city centre, working alongside a friendly and experienced group of engineers. Whether you're already chartered or working toward it, you'll be supported with regular training, mentoring, and a clear path to professional development.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing structural solutions across a variety of building types
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, and fellow engineers
  • Getting involved in heritage and conservation projects
  • Attending site visits and client meetings
  • Working toward chartership with full support from senior staff
